Riviera Travel has bolstered its trade team with the appointment of Amanda Docherty as key account manager for homeworkers
Docherty, who has previously held roles with TUI UK & Ireland, Carnival UK and Celebrity Cruises, will focus on supporting the river cruise and escorted tour specialist’s remote-working travel agent partners in what is a brand-new position for the line. She will report into Riviera’s Vicky Billing, head of trade and partnerships.
Billing said: “We are thrilled that Amanda is joining us in this new role. We understand that homeworkers require a more tailored approach in terms of support and believe this step will ensure they have all they need to learn more about Riviera and drive sales.”
“An exciting challenge”
It comes after Chris McCloskey and Lloyd Morris joined Riviera’s sales team on Monday (22 January) as key account manager for Scotland and Ireland and key account manager for the UK and Ireland respectively.
Docherty added: “This is an exciting challenge at what is an equally exciting time for Riviera. I cannot wait to get started and begin working with our valued homeworking trade partners.”
Earlier this year, the river cruise line announced that it will host 100 agents across 10 river cruise and escorted tour familiarisation trips in 2024, which will include itineraries on the Rhone and the Seine.
