A couple who met on a solo Riviera Travel cruise in 2025 have become engaged one year later on another sailing

Robert Ingram and Jo Gannon first met in August 2025 while sailing on Riviera’s Douro, Porto and Salamanca River Cruise for Solo Travellers.

After the cruise was over, the pair stayed in contact every day and took a sailing together as a couple one year later; a Burgundy, River Rhone and Provence River Cruise again with Riviera.

On the sixth day of the sailing, the pair got engaged during an excursion to the Pont du Gard Roman aqueduct in France.
