Celebrity Cruises has announced the first at-sea collaboration with fitness network F45.

With its high-intensity sessions and celebrity fans including Hugh Jackman and Maisie Williams, the fitness network will be included in an expanded fitness centre on board Celebrity Apex.

Guests will be able to take part in other fitness trends, including hot yoga, pulse barre and Peleton.

The line’s Edge series ships will also include The Spa, featuring the Sea Thermal Suite comprising of “eight distinct experiences”.

Passengers in suites will have exclusive access to a hub of relaxation with The Retreat, which includes The Retreat Lounge, The Retreat Sundeck and and Luminae at The Retreat all designed by Kelly Hoppen, MBE.

The first Celebrity Cruises ship to be launched in the UK in over a decade, Celebrity Apex will begin its inaugural season from Southampton on 1 April 2020, with a mini-season of five sailings to Northern Europe destinations before spending the summer sailing seven-to-12-night itineraries throughout the Mediterranean.

In November, the ship will reposition to Fort Lauderdale for a winter season of week-long Caribbean sailings.

Celebrity Apex includes many of the features found on the first Edge-class ship, Celebrity Edge, including the Magic Carpet cantilevered off the ship’s side.

The ship does, however, include some upgrades, such as expanded staterooms with infinite verandas as well as new culinary, spa and wellness, and entertainment features.

Celebrity Cruises recently revealed that Reshma Sujani, author, founder and CEO of international non-profit Girls Who Code, will be godmother of Celebrity Apex.

If guests want to experience the F45 partnership, Celebrity Apex’s 10-night cruise between and Southampton and Paris is the chance.

Prices start from £1,499 per person in an Oceanview Stateroom (based on two people sharing), and the cruise includes an overnight stay in Oslo.

Departing from Southampton on 23 April, the cruise calls at Bruges, Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Oslo and Paris before returning to Southampton.
