With 2015 marking the 800th Anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta – or Great Charter – bookings can still be made on the six-night cruise aboard European Waterways’ luxury hotel barge, Magna Carta.

The Magna Carta cruises along the River Thames, between Hampton Court Palace and Henley, past the historic site of the sealing of the Great Charter at Runnymede. After passing the Magna Carta Memorial and Magna Carta Island, the hotel barge continues on to Windsor and a tour of the castle. Other excursions during the six-night cruise include the Tudor manor house of Dorney Court, Cliveden with its glorious gardens and the Stanley Spencer gallery in the riverside village of Cookham.
