Seabourn Pursuit, the second ultra-luxury expedition ship from Seabourn, embarked on its maiden voyage on 12 August.
The purpose-built ship, which follows in the footsteps of Seabourn Venture, set sail on an eight-day cruise from Valletta to Rome.
Between August and October, Seabourn Pursuit will sail five voyages in the Mediterranean and on two voyages across the Atlantic and through the Caribbean.
In October, the ship will arrive in Barbados to begin its expedition journeys, It will also head south for expeditions exploring coastal South America, the Amazon and Antarctica into late March 2024.
Following its inaugural Antarctic season, itineraries will take in the islands of the South Pacific and also Australia, which will be the start of the line’s first exploration of the Kimberley region.
Seabourn taking expedition to ‘next level’

On board, the cruise line said that Pursuit includes a “plethora of modern hardware and technology” and has been designed for remote and diverse environments.
