Princess Cruises has revealed details of a new virtual reality production show that will appear on Sky Princess and Enchanted Princess.

The concept, called 5-SKIES, will transport guests into a gaming world through a series of digital effects, acrobatics, elaborate sets and costumes.

The show follows main character, Gamer 1, who attempts to complete a series of five increasingly difficult levels, meeting different personalities along the way in an attempt to reach Sky Princess.

5-SKIES will feature on Sky Princess.

5-SKIES will open on the 3,660-guest Sky Princess on 15 November 2019 as it sails the Caribbean. The vessel will then head to Northern Europe and sail roundtrip from Copenhagen on a number of Russia and Scandinavia voyages.

It will then feature on Enchanted Princess, which launches in Southampton in June 2020.

Princess Cruises vice-president UK & Europe Tony Roberts said: “The addition of 5-SKIES to the entertainment line-up aboard Sky Princess and Enchanted Princess showcases our commitment to offering one-of-a-kind experiences to our guests.

“With stunning visuals, special effects and spectacular choreography, the show will be brought to life by our team of talented singers and dancers and will further enhance the extensive entertainment offering which can only be found on Princess.”

Sky Princess and Enchanted Princess will also feature the popular escape room concept. The Phantom Bridge will allow players to steer a simulated ship through a range of historical and future time periods in an interactive experience.

Princess Cruises is offering a 14-day East/West Adventurer Caribbean sailing on Sky Princess, departing 29 February 2020. Sailing roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale, calling at Cozumel, Belize City, Roatan, Costa Maya (Mahahual), Princess Cays, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. Prices from £2,044pp.
