Princess Cruises has revealed that its two newest ships will include the popular escape room concept.

The 3,660-guest Sky Princess and Enchanted Princess – which launch in October 2019 and June 2020 respectively – will host the Phantom Bridge, in which players will steer a simulated ship through a range of historical and future time periods in an interactive experience. The end goal will be to find the exit key and escape, hence the name.

To progress through the story – which will last for approximately 25 minutes – guests will have to work as a team to uncover clues and solve puzzles in the room, which will transform depending on their actions.

The Phantom Bridge, on deck 16, will be tailored to players of all ages and physical abilities, and will include a number of levels, time periods and brainteasers with more than 700 possible outcomes, meaning returning players can experience multiple endings.

Sky Princess sets sail in October this year, with the Phantom Bridge available from December. The experience will debut on Enchanted Princess when the ship launches from Southampton next year.

Princess Cruises is offering a 14-day Adriatic and Aegean Medley cruise on Enchanted Princess, sailing from Rome to Barcelona. Departing 1 August 2020, prices start from £2,099pp with up to $375 on-board spending money available per person.
