Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) will introduce a new adults-only lounge, redesigned suites and 24 new balcony staterooms to its 3,958-guest Norwegian Encore later this year

Norwegian Encore will dry dock for two weeks from 18 November to allow time for the renovations, before embarking on a seven-day Caribbean itinerary from Miami.

The new adults-only lounge, Spice H20, located near the main pool deck, replacing the ship’s existing laser tag arena. The line’s design partners, Studio Dado, are responsible for the design of the lounge, which will include hot tubs, eight large day beds surrounded by cooling pools and a large cocktail bar.

Meanwhile, the ship’s two Premier Owner’s Suites will be expanded from two bedrooms to three and will be complemented by three and a half bathrooms; a fully renovated living room, master bedroom and outdoor balcony furniture; and a new separate dining room.

Similar to the recent refurbishment on Norwegian Joy earlier this year, Norwegian Encore will also feature 24 new balcony staterooms and two club balcony staterooms, following a repurposing of a portion of the ship’s Observation Lounge.

Lastly, two of the ship’s signature restaurants will be expanded. Cagney’s Steakhouse and the hibachi-style restaurant Teppanyaki will offer greater capacity by taking over Los Lobos’ on deck eight and Coco’s on deck six.

Additionally, Ocean Blue will be converted to the Palomar, offering Mediterranean-style seafood cuisine.

Earlier this year NCL promoted Richard Wager to regional sales executive for the north of the UK, joining the team from the NCL Partner Contact Centre.
