Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is rounding off 2024 by reaffirming its commitment to helping holidaymakers see, do and enjoy more in Europe next year
As decorations illuminate the streets and the sounds of Mariah and Wizard fill cars and offices across the UK, NCL is remaining focussed on its mission to deliver your customers more in 2025.
The cruise line, which has 21 ships currently on sale including the new Norwegian Viva and soon-to-launch in 2025 Norwegian Aqua, are always on the lookout for roads less travelled to make sure holidaymakers go home thinking about where to book next.
NCL promises longer itineraries and added time in port, more to do with a variety of elevated experiences like the world’s first freefall dry slide on Norwegian Prima, and more to enjoy with more bars and lounges across its fleet than any other cruise line.
The company has a ship for everyone, packed with a wide range of activities from go-karting and laser tag to retail shopping and spa treatments. After a day of fun, guests can head to the theatre for shows such as Jersey Boys, The Choir of Man and Burn the Floor. We recommend stopping for a drink on the way in Sugarcane Mojito Bar.
What’s more, the line’s More at Sea™ proposition features all the above as well as premium drinks and speciality dining, wi-fi and $50 shore excursion credits.
Despite being one of the world’s most visited cruise destinations, Europe remains a firm favourite amongst British customers thanks to its eclectic range of ports, world-leading gastronomy and ease of access.
Top picks from NCL’s European 2025 season
A standout feature of the line’s summer collection is a seven-day Greek Isles Round-Trip Athens (Piraeus) itinerary aboard Norwegian Viva.
Stops include Santorini, Rhodes and Heraklion (Crete). In the latter, guests will be surprised by the island’s Venetian-inspired architecture, dating back as far as the 13th century. Recommend the Minoan Palace of Knossos – immortalised by the legend of the Minotaur – to fans of Greek mythology. Prices for an Inside Cabin start from £1,725pp, based on a 3 August departure.
Another standout sailing is the nine-day Mediterranean: Italy, France and Spain cruise, round-trip Barcelona, aboard Norwegian Breakaway®.
One port of call is Naples, where travellers can tour the San Gennaro Catacombs – a labyrinth of passageways underneath the city – before taking a stroll down Via San Gregorio Armeno, a street lined with shops selling handmade goods.
Then, in Palma, visitors can travel back in time by meandering around the mazed network of cobbled streets which surround the Gothic cathedral. Recommend the Parc de ses Estacions in the centre of the city, where wanderers can take a load off while admiring local wildlife. With prices as low as £1,115pp for an Inside Cabin, act fast before cabins fill up.
NCL will also offer two 10-day sailings next summer: the Greek Isles: Santorini, Mykonos & Croatia from Venice (Trieste) to Athens (Piraeus) cruise and the 10-Day Greek Isles & Italy Round-Trip Rome (Civitavecchia) sailing. The first comes in at £1,375pp and the second from £1,535pp
For fans of a cooler climate and no-fly cruising, suggest the 11-Day Northern Europe: Helsinki & Copenhagen Round-Trip Southampton itinerary aboard Norwegian Star.
From £1,569pp for a 29 September departure, guests will have the chance to visit the Estonian capital of Tallinn, offering a mix of medieval houses and modern boutique cafes. Highlights include Toompea Castle and Tsar Peter I’s Kadriorg Palace, filled with art and surrounded by sculpted gardens.
Back onboard, adventurers have the freedom to eat when and where they choose with up to 20 dining options on a single ship, with speciality restaurants serving authentic global cuisine from Japanese and Brazilian to Mediterranean seafood specialities.
