Holland America Line is launching a series of ‘bitesize’ weekly webinars for the UK trade.

The webinars have been created by the cruise line’s UK sales team and will run throughout October, November and December 2020.

The snappy, 15-20 minute virtual events aim to get members of the travel trade selling cruise again, teaching agents about Holland America Line’s premium cruises and cruise destinations.

Travel trade will also be able to stay up-to-date with the line’s latest campaign and sales tools, being hosted by the HAL Business Development team.

Webinars will run through the rest of 2020 and will be helping weekly on Tuesdays at 9.30am.

During October, sessions will focus on an overview of the Holland America Line brand and sales tools, looking at HAL’s Mediterranean and Asian 2021 cruises.

November and December will cover Alaska, Northern Europe, South America and the Caribbean, and also give more information about HAL’s new Pinnacle-class flagship, Rotterdam. Rotterdam will debut in August 2021.

Holland America Line’s UK & Irelander director of sales, Wendy Lahmich, said:

“We’ve created this webinar series to help our valued partners with focused brand knowledge that can ultimately contribute to their sales and success.

“We’ve also extended our 2 per cent bonus commission offer on 2021 Summer Europe and Alaska cruises until 31 October, showing our commitment to the trade, and allowing partners to earn more when they sell HAL cruises.”

To register for the sessions, agents need to just send an email to [email protected].

Along with Holland America Line, fellow Carnival Corporation line Carnival has also launched an agent training programme.

The eight-part online sales certification is designed to help agents expand their business and clientele through marketing strategies, focusing on building strategies and using social media.

Due to the current climate, the series will focus heavily on selling travel in a post-Covid-19 world, with sessions focusing on planning cruises using future cruise credit, hosting virtual cruise parties, creating a personal brand and engaging in online learning.
