Carnival Cruise Line launches new online travel agent certification

Carnival Cruise Line has launched a new eight-part online sales certification aimed at helping agents enhance their sales skills.

The series has been designed to help agents expand their business and clientele through marketing strategies, focusing on building strategies and using social media.

Due to the current climate, the series will focus heavily on selling travel in a post-Covid-19 world, with sessions focusing on planning cruises using future cruise credit.

Other sessions designed to help travel agents adapt to a new normal include hosting virtual cruise parties, creating a personal brand, engaging in online learning and developing lifelong client relationships.

The course will culminate in a Key to Sales Success Today programme, hosted by Adolfo M Perez – senior vice president of global sales and trade marketing at Carnival Cruise Line.

Perez’s sales and leadership team will also be in the session, sharing their extensive knowledge and expertise for today’s ever-changing travel industry.

Perez said: “These are unique times and therefore we created FUNdamentals of Successful Selling as a way to tap into the vast knowledge of our highly talented sales force to help agents from every model connect with their clients in unique and creative ways to expand both their short- and long-term business.”

After agents have completed the eight-session course, and a short quiz, they will receive a certification of completion signed by Perez and an official logo they can use on their own website.

Agents can also use the logo on their email signature and all marketing materials.

The sessions are free to attend and available on-demand, allowing agents to complete the sessions in there own time and with flexibility.
