Fred Olsen Cruise Lines’ inaugural world cruise on new ship Borealis has attracted sales of more than £1million during its first week on sale.

The 101-night Around the World voyage will set sail from Southampton on 6 January 2022. There is also an option of a 105-night sailing from Liverpool.

The voyage will include stop in the USA, Papa New Guinea, Australia (with a three-day stay in Sydney), Asia and the Middle East.

Guests who book by 31 October 2020 will receive up to £600 per person to spend on board, as well as the cost of tips covered. Prices start from £9,999pp.

In addition, agents who make a booking with Fred Olsen by 30 November 2020, onto any 2021 or 2022 cruise, will be entered into a draw to win a cruise for two.

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines head of sales Geoff Ridgeon said: “These results are testament to the hard work of our itineraries team, who worked exceptionally hard to get this exciting new world cruise ready in just a matter of weeks.

“A world cruise at any time is an investment and to see such encouraging sales amidst such a challenging year just goes to show that our guests and our many loyal agents share with us in our confidence for the future.

“Borealis’ Around the World cruise offers guests the opportunity to enjoy some unforgettable experiences, from exploring unspoilt Pacific islands, visiting the Taj Mahal on tour from Kochi, and the many diverse and vibrant cultures of so many wonderful cities.

“It is set to be an incredible cruise and we can’t wait to welcome all those already booked, and many still yet to do so, for this exciting sailing in January 2022.

“Of course, all agents who make a booking onto this sailing will be in with the chance of winning a cruise for two on board one of our new ships next year.”
