UK-based travel wholesaler Major Travel has added a new function to its digital platform, Major Go, to enable travel agents to make cruise bookings
The new functionality gives agents the ability to create, price and book tailor-made cruise holidays using the company’s booking interface.
Agents will have access to itineraries from the likes of Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Disney Cruise Line, as well as other cruise brands. Agents will also be able to package the holidays with flights, hotels and transfers.
The company said the new platform will allow agents to select a cruise and cabin grade, add pre- or post-hotel stays, arrange transfers and manage entire itineraries in one place.
Qasim Gulamhusein, managing director at Major Travel, said: “This is a real game changer for agents selling cruise. Being able to create the whole holiday in one place, rather than managing separate bookings for flights, hotels and transfers, makes it much easier to offer customers a truly tailor-made experience.
“We know cruise is an area where agents want to offer more choice and more flexibility, and Major Go now gives them the tools to do exactly that, all backed by the live pricing and support they already trust us for.”
The new function will initially launch on Major Go in pilot mode, and Major Travel is inviting agents to be amongst the first to try it. Agents who sign up during August will be able to quote and make bookings using the new function and share feedback directly with the Major Go team, helping to shape the tool ahead of full launch.
For taking part, agents will earn an additional £50 for every cruise booking they make through Major Go during the pilot period until September and can sign up here.
