Azamara Cruises has appointed Peter Ryan as business development manager, UK & Ireland after five years at Celebrity Cruises

Ryan, who has more than 25 years of experience in the travel industry, was previously responsible for managing trade partner head office accounts for Celebrity Cruises.

He also played an integral role in ship launches such as Celebrity Beyond and hosting ship visits with trade partners throughout the summer season in Southampton.

His remit will be to strengthen Azamara’s relationships with the trade and continue the line’s positive growth after it reported its most successful sales year on record in the UK last year.

Ryan’s experience to help Azamara ‘build agent network’

Stuart Pearce, head of trade sales UK, at Azamara Cruises, said: “We are so excited to have Peter join our UK team, bringing with him extensive knowledge of the travel industry.

Prior to Celebrity Cruises, Ryan spent 14 years working with the travel agent, Thomas Cook, managing sales and profitability across retail branches.
