Azamara hails agents for ‘best-ever’ UK sales year

Azamara

Azamara has reported its most successful sales year on record in the UK, with guest volumes up more than 20% and a revenue increase of over 30% compared with 2022.

The results follow a period of significant investment from Azamara in the UK market, including an expanded sales team with Moira Gregson and Adam Morris joining as business development managers.

Head of trade sales UK Stuart Pearce said the small-ship specialist’s travel agent community has been “pivotal” to its success.

“Now with the right resources in place, the team can deliver enhanced support and continue growing our network, resulting in more partners choosing to book with Azamara,” he added.

“We had a greater presence at industry events this year, with the team engaging with over three and a half thousand agents at conferences alone.”

Long-haul driving record-breaking Azamara sales year

The company also invited agents onboard during a series of ship visits around the British Isles and hosted a seminar at sea event.

The line will now look to carry this momentum forward by driving sales into the new year with the launch of its wave season offer, giving travellers up to 20% off per stateroom on select sailings between 1 April and 31 December 2024 when booked between 6 December 2023 and 21 March 2024.

Managing director UK David Duff said the brand’s country-intensive itineraries, seven-night plus sailings and long-haul destinations – including Japan and South Africa – are proving to be “extremely” popular.

“We are already seeing great demand for 2024, with European sailings across all four ships selling well, and are on course to exceed these records once more next year,” he added.
