Australian-based Aurora Expeditions has joined Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) as it looks to expand its presence in the UK and Ireland, and across Europe.

Aurora is currently preparing to welcome its newest ship, Greg Mortimer – named after the company’s founder – in October 2019.

The company has also announced a new collection of repositioning voyages from Antarctica to the Arctic in summer (April-June) 2020, travelling up the western side of Latin America, through the Panama Canal and the Caribbean.

Craig Upshall, Aurora Expeditions’ UK and Europe sales director, said: “Aurora Expeditions is absolutely delighted to be joining CLIA. This has come at a great time for Aurora, as we prepare for the launch of our new ship the Greg Mortimer next year.

“CLIA brings expedition cruising to life through its incredible connections throughout the global cruise community, and Aurora looks forward to welcoming the visibility we hope to gain through this.”

Andy Harmer, CLIA senior vice-president membership, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Aurora to CLIA. The expedition sector is one of the most dynamic elements of the global cruise industry and the addition of Aurora’s expertise in this arena is great news for CLIA travel agents.”
