Television presenter and comedian Sue Perkins has been confirmed as the host of the 2024 Wave Awards
Together with her presenting partner, Mel Giedroyc, Perkins first entertained the nation on Light Lunch, before transferring to an evening slot titled Late Lunch.
With their fresh and unstuffy style, they became a double act that has lasted over twenty-five years, including presenting seven series of The Great British Bake Off.
Perkins is currently the host of Radio 4’s Just A Minute and has fronted programmes covering everything from brass bands to art to animals, including hosting the BAFTA Television Awards twice.
She will now bring her hosting talents to the stage at The Dorchester on 11 November for the 10th anniversary of The Wave Awards, hosted by Cruise Trade News and World of Cruising in partnership with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.

Cunard’s award-winning entertainment will be brought to life at the Wave Awards 2024 as the luxury cruise line partners with two incredibly talented performers to showcase the brand’s refined approach to entertainment at sea.
The line has partnered with internationally renowned violinist Lizzie Ball, who has played with the likes of Paul McCartney and Hugh Jackman, and Tosh Wanogho-Maud, a rising star in musical theatre who wowed audiences in the multi-award-winning West End show The Drifters Girl.
