Viva Cruises has announced that its second new-build ship will launch in early 2023.
Viva Two’s maiden voyage will depart from Frankfurt on 1 April, calling in Bamberg, Nuremberg and Regensburg.
The news follows the launch of Viva One earlier this year.
Viva Two will have three restaurants – Viva’s Bistro, offering a casual atmosphere and a wide selection of snacks and smaller dishes; Riverside, the main restaurant, and Moments, described by the line as “the place to go for top-class specialty food”.
All dining options will be included in the cruise package as part of the all-inclusive product.
‘Another highlight’ for Viva Cruises
In addition, the river cruise line has revealed that two other ships in the fleet – Viva Voyage and Viva Gloria – will undergo refurbishment ready for next year.
The ships will feature a new design and bar concept, and will be expanded to include the Vino wine bar.
Viva Cruises COO Andrea Kruse said: “After the launch of Viva One this year, the building of Viva Two, our second ship, forms another highlight in the history of Viva Cruises.
“We are truly delighted to be walking the next important milestone in the company and look forward to welcoming more Brits aboard our nine ships available in 2023.”
From 2023, Viva Cruises will expand its offering on the Rhine, Main, Moselle, Danube, Rhône, and Seine rivers, and Baltic sea.
New options will be available, including a 10-night cruise between Dusseldorf and Regensburg, passing through the Rhine, the Main and the Danube.
Viva One and Viva Moments will also operate one-way services from Düsseldorf to Basel, Basel to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Basel and Basel to Düsseldorf.
