Having successfully hosted more than 3,000 agents on several preview sailings in Europe, Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest ship, Norwegian Aqua, is now gearing up to take guests on a Caribbean adventure
The vessel, which is the first instalment in the line’s Prima Plus class, is 10 per cent larger than its Prima Class sister ships Norwegian Prima® and Norwegian Viva®.
Marquee features include mini golf and interactive darts, as well as a three-storey wellness facility and the first waterslide-come-rollercoaster at sea, the Aqua Slidecoaster.
Agents onboard the taster cruise hailed the vessel as the perfect pick for multi-generational family bookings, thanks to its broad variety of entertainment options – like thrilling shows in the Aqua theatre and LED sports facility the Glow Court – and range of dining choices, from Japanese and American BBQ to Starbucks and Italian delights.
The vessel will add to the line’s reputation as one of the leading operators in the Caribbean, where in 2025 and 2026 it will offer 42 itineraries and seven departure points across 13 ships.
Departing from Miami, Orlando (Port Canaveral), New York and New Orleans, NCL® will sail to the eastern, western and southern areas of the Caribbean, offering guests the chance to snorkel in the Mesoamerican Reef or visit islands with French, Dutch and British influences.
The line will also visit its two private island destinations, Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamans and Harvest Caye in Belize.
The former offers complimentary food options, activities such as swimming with pigs and ziplining, as well as exclusive access to Silver Cove with Mandara Spa® – a private lagoon with air-conditioned villas.
Meanwhile, Harvest Caye is the Caribbean’s premier resort-style destination with an expansive pool and beach area, the 136-foot Flighthouse featuring a zipline and rope course, large marina with dining and watersports.
