NCL promotes Kirsty Webb ahead of Norwegian Aqua launch

Kirsty Webb, NCL

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has expanded its sales team ahead of the inaugural sailing of Norwegian Aqua later this month

Kirsty Webb has been promoted to director of strategic accounts from her previous role as senior business development manager for the line’s Cruise Specialist channel.

Webb will lead NCL’s relationship with a portfolio of key accounts, as well as NCL’s team of business development managers.

The appointment comes ahead of Aqua‘s debut sailing on 25 March, which is set to welcome more than 1,200 agents from the UK and Ireland.

As well as Webb’s promotion, NCL will be creating a new regional sales executive role focussed on Scotland and the North-East, reporting into Nigel Rankin, head of retail and field sales.

Gary Anslow, vice president and head of UK and Ireland, said: “We’re delighted to announce Kirsty’s new role, which will support our growth plans across the UK and Ireland, and the upweight of our resource in Nigel’s team, which will deepen our footprint in Scotland and the North-East.”

“We know that walking through doors on a consistent basis supports agents in growing their sales. The UK and Ireland is NCL’s biggest market outside of North America and the travel trade is critical to our success as we materially expand our fleet.”

Aqua will be followed by the fourth Prima class ship, Norwegian Luna, in April 2026, and a further two Prima+ class vessels will join the fleet in 2027 and 2028.

NCL recently announced four new ships will launch in a new class, arriving between 2030 and 2038.
