Tony Roberts to leave Seabourn and the cruise sector

Tony Roberts to leave Seabourn

Tony Roberts is leaving Seabourn to take up a new role outside the cruise sector at Warner Leisure Hotels.

He joined the luxury cruise line as vice-president global commercial operations and head of UK and Europe in March last year.

Seabourn UK & Europe vice-president Lynn Narraway will continue to lead the business in UK and Europe.

Roberts will work closely with the Seabourn leadership team over the next two months to help “identify the right organisational structure moving forward”, a statement said.

Seabourn praises Roberts’ work to ‘raise profile’

Roberts has been in the cruise industry for 23 years, and was formerly Princess Cruises UK and Europe vice-president.

Before that, Roberts worked as a management accountant in the P&O Cruises finance team, holding several roles in finance and qualifying as an accountant.

He then moved to customer services and added responsibility for business development and international sales.

After two years in the IT department, leading technology partnering and operations, Roberts joined the Princess team and led the UK and Europe team. Alongside this, he was chair of CLIA UK and Ireland for three years.

In a statement, Seabourn said Roberts and his team had helped “further raise Seabourn’s profile as a leader in ultra-luxury cruising and expedition travel“.

The line added: “Seabourn wishes to thank Roberts for his 23 years with the organisation and best of luck on his future endeavours.”
