Last month The Cruise Challenge gameshow hit the road for Sunderland for a special event at The Stadium of Light, exclusively for Hays Travel head office staff
Attendees heard presentations from several cruise lines including Fred Olsen, Riviera Travel, Oceania Cruises, Saga and MSC Cruises before teams battled it out for Cruise Challenge glory to see who had been paying the most attention.
A number of prizes, including cruises, were up for grabs. “It was a fun filled educational night and if you haven’t been to one before you are missing out,” said Real Response Media commercial manager Nathan Emtage.
“It was a fantastic turn out and attendees heard presentations from five of our amazing partners, with MSC Cruises providing an unexpected guest appearance in the form of a canary.”
Harriet Thompson, head of Hays Travel Independence Group, praised the event for providing the agency’s head office team with “lots of learning, fun and laughs”.
“There was real interaction from all suppliers and they all made the best use of their 13 minute presentation time, as the key selling points really stuck, even without all the notes,” she continued.
“We loved the concept of the game as well as the supplier spot prizes. I know I can speak on behalf of my team that we all thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back when it comes back around.”
Cruise Challenge ‘a welcome change’ to normal events
Dylan Lovik, Hays Travel Independence group support assistant, was also in attendance. He said: “The Cruise Challenge event was brilliant, as an IG team we normally do the same things so this was a welcome change.
“The event was really informative, and the full team had a laugh. We even had engagement from some of our IG members on our social media channels, so if we do this again would be great to invite our local IG members.”
