Cruise Challenge: Record-breaking year for unique training event

The Cruise Challenge: 'A great way to learn and engage'

What a year it has been for the Cruise Challenge. In total, 700 travel agents have attended a Cruise Challenge event over the course of 2023.

The event – organised by Cruise Trade News – travelled the length and breadth of the country, visiting cities across the UK, delivering travel agent training with a difference.

The unique format, which fuses informative presentations from cruise lines with a gameshow, gave agents the opportunity to learn and grow their businesses.

In total, 14 events were held in 2023, featuring cruise lines from across the industry, whether that be ocean, river, expedition, or luxury.

Fred Olsen Cruise Line gave away five cruises to five lucky agents and Princess Cruises had four fantastic opportunities for ship visits.

There were many more prizes on offer, courtesy of cruise lines and Real Response Media.

More Cruise Challenge events to come in 2024

However, there is much more to come in 2024, with 15 Cruise Challenges planned, once again across the country in cities such as Leeds, Belfast, Southampton, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and many more. Attendance is free.

Real Response Media commercial director Tracy Clenshaw said: “We are delighted with the feedback from the Cruise Challenge. While the event has been in existence for a few years now, we feel that 2023 really saw it come into its own, with more partners and agents than ever before.

“We’ve been so impressed with the desire from agents to come along, have some fun and learn about what is happening in the industry.

“With its one-of-a-kind format, there really is no other training event like it. I’d like to thank all our cruise line partners for their support and every single travel agent who attended. We hope to see you all again in 2024.”
