Star Clippers has appointed Luke Swarbrook as regional sales manager for the north

Swarbrook will be responsible for developing accounts as well as maintaining and growing trade relationships in the north of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

He will join the tall-ship cruise specialist on 1 April and report into Nicola Cox, head of sales. Swarbrook has more than two decades’ experience in the travel industry, having previously held roles at Specialist Holidays Group, Blue Diamond Resorts, Royalton Hotel Group, TUI and Midlands Coop Travel.

Speaking about his appointment, Swarbrook said: “I’m delighted to join Star Clippers as regional sales manager. It is a privilege to represent such an iconic brand and I look forward to building strong relationships and helping even more travellers experience the unique form of tall-ship sailing.”

Fay McCormack, general manager of Star Clippers’ UK GSA Fred. Olsen Travel, welcomed Swarbrook to the company, saying his wealth of experience will be “invaluable” to the team.

“We are excited to welcome Luke to our small and dedicated team,” she said. “Our ongoing commitment to the trade is reinforced with the hiring of Luke, whose experience will be invaluable in supporting our trade partners and agents in the north.”

Previous regional sales manager for the north, Emma Hilton, has left the company, a Star Clippers spokesperson said.
