Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has appointed Danny Giles as its new senior manager for the UK and Ireland

Giles boasts more than 30 years of experience in the travel industry, including roles at Ponant, Silversea Cruises, Hurtigruten, Balkan Holidays and most recently, Crystal Cruises.

He succeeds James Scott who last month took up the role of trade sales director for the UK and Ireland at SeaDream Yacht Club.

Announcing his appointment on Linkedin, Giles wrote: “I’m incredibly proud to be part of a brand with such a rich heritage, renowned for delivering exceptional luxury experiences aboard beautifully designed small ships sailing to all seven continents.

“I’m looking forward to building and strengthening partnerships across the UK and Ireland, supporting our valued trade partners, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.”
