Star Clippers announces trade-focused destination campaign


Star Clippers is launching a new trade-focused campaign featuring promotions, events and FAM trip opportunities for travel agents.

The luxury tall-ship cruise line, represented in the UK by Fred Olsen Travel, is teaming up with tourist boards, hotel partners, regional airports and airlines to focus on destinations visited by the line.

The campaign will see three months’ worth of promotions available to showcase destinations throughout the year.

From April to June 2022, the line will focus on St Maarten, an island that Star Clippers has cruised to for 30 years.

The project will involve a week-long UK roadshow, with the cruise line’s sales team and members of the tourist board hosting  training sessions and events.

Evening events for agents will take place on 4 April at Hotel Indigo, Birmingham, 6 April at Charlotte Street Hotel, London, and 7 April at Chester Racecourse.

Star Clippers UK general manager Fay McCormack said: “We are so excited to showcase these beautiful destinations with a structured focus for the trade and are delighted to be working with the tourist boards and industry partners on this collaboration.”
