Silversea relaunches trade rewards programme

Silversea, Silver Nova

Silversea Cruises has relaunched its travel agent reward and recognition programme for 2023.

Called Silversea Advocates, the concept is designed to “celebrate exceptional work” by the trade, the luxury cruise line said.

Running from now to 31 December 2023, the programme will recognise eight advocates every month, for a variety of reasons such as sales performance, completing a successful marketing promotion, or running a Silversea event.

The line’s regional sales managers will submit their nomination, with the advocates receiving 100 Silversea agent rewards points, which can be redeemed from the online voucher code section featuring Virgin Wines, Amazon and Love2shop.

Each advocate will also receive a plaque and an invitation to an event in February 2024, with one agent awarded a suite for two on board a Silversea cruise.

Agents ‘extremely important’ for Silversea

Silversea UK & Ireland MD Peter Shanks said: “We are delighted to be relaunching Silver Advocates.

“Our travel partners are extremely important, playing a key role for us and our guests. We are pleased to offer these added benefits to express our appreciation for their hard work.”

At the end of 2022, the line named Barbara Muckermann as its new president and CEO, with Roberto Martinoli taking on the role of senior advisor for parent company Royal Caribbean Group CEO Jason Liberty.

It also held a steel-cutting ceremony for Silver Ray, the second ship in the Nova class, in November.

The first ship in this new class, Silver Nova, has been described as the “first hybrid luxury cruise ship” and is set to launch this summer.
