Scenic has announced a number of new appointments, which, according to Colin Downing, managing director, Scenic UK, will “strengthen our breadth and depth”.
Joseph Grimley joins as director of trade sales, as Dawn Quinn, Scenic UK’s current head of trade sales, will be taking a sabbatical for 12 months for family reasons.
Currently head of sales at Riviera Travel, Grimley joins across the group portfolio of Scenic River Cruise, Scenic Eclipse, Scenic Land Tours and Emerald Waterways River and Ocean Cruises.
He will have full responsibility for leading a sales team of 10, supporting Scenic Group UK’s agency sales and key agency partners.
Grimley said: “I joined Riviera six years ago and helped them build their agency portfolio to what it is today. While it’s been a great journey I feel it’s now time for some new challenges and opportunity.”
Scenic has also appointed Nicky Yates as northern agency sales manager, Scenic Group UK. Yates joins from Attraction World, where she was also northern sales manager.
Meanwhile, Regit’s Steven Morrow joins as digital marketing manager, to lead an in-house digital team of three, while Martin Solly comes in as brand manager for Scenic Eclipse.
