Royal Caribbean International has teamed up with world traveller and entrepreneur Amar Latif to relaunch its travel agent training programme.
A new Learn platform is available through its rewards and learning app, Club Royal Plus, and Club Royal website.
The module is delivered by Latif, who shares his own Royal Caribbean experience with agents, following his time on board Anthem of the Seas and Wonder of the Seas.
The new platform will feature three levels. As agents further their understanding and learning, they will be able to work up from ‘Learner’ status to ‘Expert’ and finally ‘Guru’, before gaining access to the ‘Royal Guru’ accreditation.
Royal Caribbean said that, throughout the programme, the modules “become more detailed and bespoke, and agents will gain access to exclusive ballots with higher prize values”.
Royal Caribbean ‘committed’ to trade
The line’s director of sales UK, Ireland and Spain Stuart Byron said: “Our new Learn modules are designed to expand the knowledge of our agents, not only on brand-specific information, but also on wider business skills such as marketing.
“We’re committed to supporting our trade customers and the new modules equip agents to be flexible and learn anytime, anywhere – meaning it is easier than ever before.”
Latif added: “I’m excited to team up with Royal Caribbean for the launch of their new training platform and better support agents in providing the best holidays to their customers.
“Everyone, regardless of their background or ability, should experience the world, and travelling with the sound of the waves as a backdrop is a personal favourite of mine.”
In August, Royal Caribbean also launched a new incentive giving travel agents the opportunity to win a visit to Orlando, before sailing to the line’s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.
