Nearly 200 travel agents from across the UK and Ireland boarded Legend of the Seas this week for Royal Caribbean International’s biggest-ever Seminar at Sea
The cohort joined more than 350 travel partners from across the EMEA region for four days of training and first-hand experiences onboard the brand’s newest ship.
From 16-20 August 2026, aboard the first Icon Class ship in Europe, agents took part in three training sessions covering onboard experiences and suite accommodations to key ports of call and Royal’s destination portfolio.
The sailing also showcased the brand’s new AI-powered live translation tool, enabling agents from across EMEA to access translated audio and closed captioning in their preferred language.
The four-night event sailed from Barcelona, with agents given time to experience the ship’s drink, dining and entertainment options – from the new Hollywoodland Supper Club to Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – alongside visits to Palma de Mallorca and La Spezia.
Gerard Nolan, vice president and managing director, EMEA for Royal Caribbean, said: “Our biggest-ever Seminar at Sea is another example of our continued commitment to supporting the travel partner community.
“We’re bringing hundreds of agents from across EMEA onboard Legend of the Seas, giving them the chance to experience our newest holiday first-hand and equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to sell Royal Caribbean even more successfully.”
He continued: “There’s no substitute for experiencing one of our holidays for yourself, and over the next four days we’ll combine engaging training with plenty of opportunities to explore the ship, enjoy the destinations and, importantly, spend time together. Our travel partners are fundamental to our success, and we’ll continue to invest in them in a big way.”
