Riviera Travel has announced that its four British Isles cruises in July will now comprise exclusively of a Cruising Scotland’s Highlands & Islands itinerary.
The voyages, which mark the first time that Riviera has offered UK-based cruises, were previously a combination of Scotland and Ireland voyages, with a call to County Donegal, which has now changed to Belfast.
Riviera said the change means “all ports on the itinerary are UK-based and guests can therefore book without any travel limitation concerns”.
The eight-day itinerary, on the 158-guest Seaventure, will depart from either Edinburgh or Greenock and has a stop and excursion included every day, taking in Aberdeen, Inverness, Orkney, Oban, the Outer Hebrides and Belfast.
Tours on offer include trips to Loch Ness, Balmoral Castle, the Titanic Visitor Centre, the Callanish Standing Stones, and the Neolithic Ring of Brodgar henge and stone circle.
Riviera has arranged for guests joining the cruise to take advantage of free parking at Leith port, Edinburgh, with a shuttle transfer to or from the ship at Greenock. Spaces are limited and must be requested at the time of booking or by 31 May.
Prices start from £1,999pp, based on two people sharing a cabin, including full board, tours, visits as per the itinerary and all port taxes. Cabins are also available for sole occupancy without a supplement.
Seaventure has 82 sea-view cabins with a choice of balcony, panoramic window or porthole. The vessel has an on-board fitness suite, sauna, heated saltwater pool, expedition theatre and library.
Riviera confirmed in March that all guests must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or present a negative test, before travel.
Guests will need both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine, with the second a minimum of seven days prior to travel.
Those who have not had both doses of the vaccine will be offered a complimentary test to allow their holiday to take place.
