Riviera Travel has launched a new travel agent engagement committee to “help influence future trade support”.
The concept is based on a recent survey, which asked agents to rate Riviera’s performance in certain areas out of five.
It highlighted that 97 per cent of agents scored four or above for ease of booking, with 92 per cent of agents scoring four or above for quality social content.
In addition, 93 per cent scored four or above for trade friendliness, while 77 per cent of agents felt confident in selling river cruise, which Riviera has “identified as an area to improve”, a statement added.
The committee will convene twice a year, in-person, for agents to share their feedback, opinions and ideas on how Riviera can better serve their needs.
Agents will also be asked for input on product development, marketing campaigns, training and education programmes, alongside incentive and engagement initiatives.
To apply to be part of the committee, agents should email Riviera at [email protected], with a short paragraph on why they should be a member.
The successful applicants will be announced next month.
Riviera Travel recognises ‘vital’ contribution of agents
Riviera Travel head of trade Tom Morgan said: “We recognise the vital role that travel agents play in Riviera’s success and our dedicated trade team is always looking for ways to better serve their needs.
“Our survey was positive in a number of key areas and also showed us we have improvements we can make.
“This new committee will be critical in supporting and informing these ambitions.
“The group will represent all types of agents including high street, homeworkers, call centres and OTAs, and further demonstrates that Riviera is committed to building and strengthening its relationships with agents.”
Riviera Travel also recently rejoined CLIA to “enhance brand awareness across the UK & Ireland travel trade, including among CLIA’s wider community of cruise lines, travel agents and executive partners”.
