Riviera Travel has put its 2023 European river cruises on sale, with all prices matched with 2022 sailings for launch.
The programme – the operator’s earliest-ever river cruise launch – includes 299 cruises, across 14 itineraries, departing from March to November. There are six sailings exclusively for solo travellers.
The itineraries cover countries such as France, Germany, Portugal, Hungary and the Netherlands.
Guests can choose from an eight-say Douro, Porto and Salamanca voyage, starting from £1,569pp; The Blue Danube River Cruise, from £1,519pp, and the five-day Amsterdam, Kinderdijk and the Dutch Bulbfields itinerary, and more.
Prices include return flights with regional airport options available, and Eurostar travel on select itineraries.
Excursions are available in every port visited, while sailings also include on-board lectures, port talks, entertainment and authentic regional menus.
An optional on-board drinks package is available to purchase, which offers a selection of drinks during lunch and dinner. The package starts from £59pp for a five-day sailing.
Riviera Travel head of cruise Katja Hildebrandt said: “From the Douro to the Danube, and the Rhine to the Rhône, we’re pleased to be able to offer an extensive range of river cruises along Europe’s most incredible waterways during 2023.
“We’ve launched our European programme earlier than ever before to help meet demand for these stunning sailings.
“Guests can effortlessly soak up the views from on-board as they enjoy all-inclusive dining and impeccable service from our wonderful crews. Off the ship, our enthusiastic experts will bring the destinations to life, so guests can immerse themselves in the local culture and history.
“We personally select every aspect of our river cruises, and ensure our itineraries are thoughtfully balanced, meaning they’re perfect for anyone looking to explore at a relaxing pace.”
Riviera Travel recently launched a new concept called Cruise & Explore on select European itineraries in 2022.
The operator will offer a more flexible experience for those joining a cruise and when in port, in response to guest feedback.
