Riviera Travel has added another member to its agency sales team with the appointment of Emma Rodgers as sales development manager, North.

Rodgers will be field-based, looking after agents in the North of England, and Scotland, marking the first time the company has a dedicated regional point of contact for travel agents in the North, and will provide an increased level of support to its agent partners.

Joseph Grimley, head of agency sales at Riviera, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Emma to our team. She brings with her a wealth of experience in the travel industry including retail, sales and account management. We now have the whole country covered with Paul Mellon looking after the South, Tamzin Bishop in the Midlands and Emma in the North.”

Rodgers said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Riviera Travel. Over the last few years I’ve seen the growth of the brand and I’m looking forward to being part of such a successful company.  My role will be to strengthen existing relationships with agents in the North, and develop new ones.

“As part of my induction I’m very excited to be experiencing Riviera Travel river cruise and escorted touring products first hand and learning all about the Riviera Travel difference. I’ve always wanted to do a river cruise and now I’m working for the UK market leaders. I will be hitting the road in the next few weeks and can’t wait to meet the agents.”
