Riviera to host series of regional trade events to bolster agent ties

Riviera Travel Vicky Billing

Riviera Travel has announced plans to host a series of regional trade dinners across the UK and Ireland as it continues its 40th anniversary celebrations

Nine agents will be invited to each evening event, which will be hosted by the river cruise and tour operator’s key account managers.

The dinners will take place over the course of the summer and the first will be held on 16 July in Birmingham, with others to follow in London, the south west, south east, north west and north east as well as Scotland and Ireland.

During the events, agents will learn about the latest Riviera updates and how the brand is working with the trade, connect with the Riviera team and network with peers.

Vicky Billing, head of trade and partnerships at Riviera, said: “These events are just one of the ways we are showing our gratitude to our agent partners, whose support has been nothing short of phenomenal.

“It’s important that we recognise everyone’s hard work and we look forward to celebrating with agents as we continue to mark our 40th anniversary year.”

It comes after the line appointed former Saga head of retail Steven Taylor as its new international sales manager earlier this month.

Taylor will oversee the company’s sales and product strategies in Ireland, Australia and the US, and support the brand’s required passenger, revenue and profit targets, while finding new markets to enter.
