Riviera Travel has removed its single supplement across a range of 2024 Rhine and Rhone itineraries

The river cruise and escorted tour operator will now offer 533 cabins to solo travellers at no additional cost, on select departures in August and October.

The increase represents an 185% uplift in solo cabin availability across the sailings, with itineraries including the Rhine, Strasbourg & Heidelberg voyage, Rhine & Moselle, Rhine Cruise to Switzerland, and the Burgundy, the River Rhone & Provence cruise.

Prices for the Rhine, Strasbourg & Heidelberg cruise start from £2,749 for an August departure, and from £2,199 for an October Burgundy, the River Rhone & Provence sailing.

Riviera Travel reports increase in solo demand

Will Sarson, head of product – cruising and long haul at Riviera Travel, said: “At Riviera we strive to create holidays that are accessible to all.

“We know that demand for solo travel is increasing and therefore by removing the single supplement on some of our most popular Rhine and Rhone itineraries, we are ensuring more people can experience the wonderful ports of call and on-shore activities across the finest waterways in Europe.”

It comes after the line appointed Suzanne Warren as key account manager for the south east.
