Advantage Travel Partnership has postponed its annual cruise conference due to continued low water levels on the Danube
The conference was scheduled to take place from 14-17 November with delegates hosted on a roundtrip Riviera Travel sailing from Budapest to Bratislava.
Organisers have cancelled the event due to low water levels which were a persistent problem this summer as a result of continued high temperatures and low rainfall.
The conference is expected to be rescheduled in 2027, but no date has been confirmed.
Jonny Peat, director of cruise Advantage Travel Partnership, said: "Unfortunately, due to the exceptionally low river levels, and having explored all potential alternative options with Riviera Travel, we have jointly taken the difficult decision to postpone the conference.
"We are all hugely disappointed, particularly given to how close we are to the event, and the tremendous support and enthusiasm we have received from our members, sponsors and supplier partners."
Vicky Billing, director of trade partnerships Riviera Travel, said: "We are naturally disappointed to have to postpone the conference, but we know it's absolutely the right decision for everyone.
"We want Advantage members and business partners to experience a Riviera river cruise at its very best, in exactly the same way we want that for every one of our guests.
"The good news is that the conference will go ahead in 2027 and I can promise it will be worth the wait and gives everyone something fantastic to look forward to next year. To all our Advantage partners, we simply cannot wait to welcome you on board."
