Applications have opened for the 2027 CLIA Expedition Showcase which will welcome a "record number of ships"
The association will return to Longyearbyen in Svalbard for its third annual expedition conference, which will take place from 2-6 July next year.
Seven ships will be in attendance operated by 66 Expeditions, AE Expeditions, HX Expeditions, Polar Latitudes Expeditions, Ponant, Quark Expeditions and Swan Hellenic.
Agents will have the opportunity to take tours and listen to presentations about the products, plus, there will be business and training sessions as well as hosted dinners.
Applications have today (5 November) opened for agents. A package is available which includes return flights between Oslo and Longyearbyen, airport transfers and four nights' accommodation with breakfast. Delegates will need to arrange their own travel to and from Oslo.
Andy Harmer, CLIA UK and Ireland managing director, said: "Our Expedition Showcase gives travel agents the chance to develop their knowledge of this specialist sector, meet expedition cruise operators and experience the ships and destination first hand.
"Returning the Svalbard means agents can gain practical insight into Arctic expedition cruising, from life on board to the destinations and excursions available.
"We want delegates to leave with greater confidence in discussing expedition cruises with their customers and a clearer understanding of the sales opportunities they present."
