Regent MD Caroline Smith takes on international marketing role

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has confirmed that Caroline Smith has assumed the new role of vice president of North America and international marketing

Smith will now be responsible for integrated global marketing strategies and will report directly to Jessica John, chief marketing and strategy officer for Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

Having begun her career with the luxury line in 2015, Caroline Smith was appointed managing director, international for the company in 2022, spearheading the line’s growth strategy by overseeing sales and marketing for Regent’s EMEA, Latin America and Brazil, and Asia Pacific regions.

Steve Odell, senior vice president and chief sales officer, will continue leading Regent’s sales team, responsible for growth and development, while deepening relationships with travel agents across the globe.

“I would like to thank Caroline for her exceptional leadership of Regent’s international sales markets over the last two years, her tenure has had a profound impact on Regent’s growth and success,” said Odell.

“In the nine months since my return to Regent, I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting our travel partners around the world and strengthening these essential relationships. I will continue to ensure myself and my team are available to provide full support so that we can nurture our mutual success.”

Paul Beale, vice president sales UK for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, will now report directly to Odell – as well as senior director of sales EMEA, Gabriella Fonzo; vice president sales APAC, Lisa Pile; and vice president sales LATAM and Brazil, Frank Medina. Shawn Tubman, senior vice president, sales and trade marketing, North America will continue to report to Odell.
