P&O Cruises has increased agent commission by one per cent and will give away an additional 100,000 Shine points during Wave season.
The campaign, which will run to March, has been created “as a reward for support shown by agents in 2020”, according to a statement.
To help agents prepare for the Wave period P&O Cruises is also holding a series of virtual events. Agents will be able to book slots for advice, questions and recent news.
Agents will be rewarded for every select price booking made for P&O Cruises until 1 March, with higher amounts of Shine points available to win on the ‘Spin to Win’ game on the Shine website.
Bonus amounts include 1,000, 5,000 and 10,000 points, with 5,000 points needed for a three-night cruise and 10,000 for a seven-night Mediterranean cruise.
Shine points can also be redeemed on the Shine catalogue for vouchers.
P&O Cruises vice-president sales and marketing Alex Delamere-White said: “Nothing could have prepared us for the challenges faced this year and the cruise sector has arguably had it tougher than any other.
“The commission increase, which runs until 31 March, is in recognition of the support we have seen from agents throughout this year as we all return to face a brighter new year sales period.
“Our 100k Shine points incentive rewards agents for their tremendous work throughout this year and as we work together to deliver a strong Wave period.
“We have high expectations for Wave given the overwhelming demand for our recently released programme of 2022 holidays, demonstrating increased consumer confidence for cruising.”
Guests can also benefit from a five per cent deposit offer and extra on-board spending money.
Delamere-White added: “Our low five per cent deposit offer provides yet further incentive for customers to book as we look to make it even easier for our guests and agents to book a P&O Cruises holiday this Wave period.”
