Not Just Travel reports ‘significant’ surge in cruise sales
Not Just Travel has reported a “significant” surge in cruise sales, with a 64% increase in revenues and a 25% year-on-year rise in the number of bookings for holidays-at-sea made in January
Co-founder Paul Harrison attributed the growth to agents’ “exceptional passion for cruise” coupled with the homeworking firm’s Cruise Division.
“Although cruise is a growing sector for all travel companies, the remarkable growth shown with Not Just Travel is thanks to our incredible consultants and the investment we have made in a dedicated Cruise Division,” he added.
“This means more focus, experienced cruise experts to help our consultants, our very own dedicated cruise training, specialist marketing support and the commitment we have made to our cruise partners. The overall impact is that we’ve made it easier for our travel consultants to focus on, and make lucrative cruise bookings.”
Homeworkers who enrol in the company’s Cruise Mastery Programme receive training and opportunities from Not Just Travel’s cruise line partners.
“It’s a win-win for everyone,” Harrison continued. “Our consultants are setting new industry benchmarks and are leading the industry and delivering formidable results.”
Not Just Travel to take 400 agents on fam trips in 2024
During the last 18 months, NJT has taken around 400 agents away on cruises. One consultant, Lynette Anderson, saw one third of her bookings this month come from cruise bookings. “Even during a period not typically associated with high cruise sales and launches, we’re witnessing an incredible surge in demand for cruises,” she said.
Meanwhile, one agent booked a cruise worth more than £83,000 and another cruise booking created more than £15,000 of commission alone for one consultant.
This year, NJT has several company cruises planned with its trade partners on Princess Cruises and Virgin Voyages.
The agency group has seen an uptick in cruise business in recent months, with one part time agent amassing a whopping £1.5 million worth of cruise sales in 2023 after the company saw a fivefold year-on-year increase in Christmas Day cruise bookings.
