Norwegian Dawn will homeport in Southampton in 2023, offering a range of 8-14 day itineraries, Norwegian Cruise Line has announced.
The line recently partnered with Associated British Ports to open a new next-generation cruise terminal in Southampton for the 2021 cruise season and beyond.
On 20 April 2023, Norwegian Dawn will embark on a transatlantic 14-day journey from New York to Southampton, via France and Ireland.
The ship will also sail three 10-day itineraries through the British Isles in May and June 2023. It will then depart for a 10-day voyage from Southampton to Copenhagen.
Following this, Norwegian Dawn will complete a series of sailings through the Baltics, calling at Copenhagen, Stockholm, Riga, Helsinki, and St Petersburg, among other destinations. These itineraries will take place from June to August 2023.
Norwegian Dawn will finish August and September 2023 with 10 and 11-day sailings of the British Isles, visiting Invergordon, Stornoway, Dublin, Amsterdam, Zeebrugge, and Le Havre.
Norwegian Cruise Line vice-president and managing director UK Eamonn Ferrin said: “We’re seeing strong demand for closer to home sailings in 2021 and beyond. Looking ahead, British holidaymakers are excited to explore Europe, with endless destinations to suit all types of travellers.
“At NCL, we will expand our itineraries out of Southampton on board Norwegian Dawn in 2023 and have some fantastic trips available across the British Isles, the Baltics and Northern Europe. We can’t wait to welcome guests on board again.”
NCL currently has a number of programmes in place to support travel agents. NCL Freestyle Rewards gives travel partners the opportunity to collect and redeem points towards thousands of gifts or vouchers of their choice, while Norwegian Central, a new trade portal, has been created to help travel agents learn about the brand and market and sell NCL holidays.
Ferrin told Cruise Trade News in January that “current promotions are being well received and we see some great bookings coming through”.
