AE Expeditions has appointed former head of commercial and business development for HF Holidays Andrew Turner as its new sales director EMEA

In his new role, Turner will “play a pivotal role” in achieving the brand’s trade growth targets in the UK, according to head of global sales David Tanguay.

“Andrew has delivered exceptional results and fostered strong trade partnerships throughout his career,” he added. “Andrew’s core values and vision are a perfect fit for AE Expeditions, and we look forward to officially welcoming him to the team.”

Turner, who will take up his new role from 8 April, has more than 15 years of experience in sales focused roles within the travel industry, including seven years with Intrepid Group.

He will be responsible for growing the line’s brand presence in the UK, supporting the company’s expansion into the EMEA region and leading the company’s UK-based sales team.

Turner to help AE Expeditions ‘facilitate further growth’

“I recently returned from my first voyage to Antarctica with AE Expeditions; what an incredible introduction to the brand. I witnessed firsthand not only the life changing experiences that they create for passengers, but the genuine passion and care their team has for the incredible and remote parts of the world they travel to.”

Turner’s appointment comes after Jos Dewing departed the expedition cruise company earlier this year to pursue his “own plans and projects”.
