AE Expeditions managing director Jos Dewing has departed the expedition cruise company to pursue his “own plans and projects”
“It has been a very difficult decision to leave AE and I pay tribute to a truly incredible bunch of people globally (land and sea) and a fantastic team here in the UK too in outside and inside sales,” he wrote on LinkedIn.
Dewing, who joined the line in 2021, previously held consultancy roles with Light Blue Travel, Tripsmiths and SeaDream Yacht Club and was global managing director and CEO of Voyages to Antiquity.
“It is amazing to see just how far the company has come in less than three years,” he continued. “My time at AE has been hugely rewarding, learning so much about the true nature of expedition and small-ship travel from some of the best and most experienced people on the planet.”
AE Expeditions bolsters trade ties with promotions
The announcement comes after Aurora Expeditions became the latest travel business to demonstrate its commitment to the environment by attaining B Corp certification.
B Corps are certified businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability, and who have made a legal commitment to balance purpose and profit.
AE Expeditions further demonstrated its intention to grow its presence in the UK and EMEA by promoting Andy Tait and Katie Harber, with Tait’s title changing to senior business development manager EMEA and Harber to senior business development manager UK & Ireland.
