Jacqueline Dobson promoted to Internova Travel’s leadership team
Barrhead Travel President Jacqueline Dobson will head up the leisure division of the agency’s parent organization, Internova Travel Group
Dobson will continue to be based out of Barrhead’s Glasgow head office where she will also oversee Internova’s US-based brands Andrew Harper, Cruise Specialists, CruCon Cruise Outlet and Travel Leaders Vacation Center.
Dobson began her career in travel as a trainee more than 30 years ago, the last twenty of which have been with Barrhead Travel.
Jacqueline Dobson, president of Barrhead Travel, said: “I feel very privileged to be taking on a newly expanded role with Internova Travel Group and I’m looking forward to working with some iconic US leisure businesses.
“Like the other organisations within the group, Barrhead Travel has an incredibly distinctive brand and culture – that will certainly not change and we’ll continue to work towards our ambition of growing our retail network and investing in our people.
“Having the opportunity to step up and lead other business units will no doubt create new opportunities and synergy as we look to position the division as the global leader in leisure travel expertise.”
She will report directly to the Group CEO, J.D. O’Hara.

In 2021 Dobson was named Scotland’s Inspirational Woman of the Year and she is currently serving as the president of the Scottish Passenger Agents’ Association (SPAA) as well as sitting on the board of directors with the Scottish Chamber of Commerce.
