Hurtigruten has revealed that Mark Walter has been appointed UK head of sales with immediate effect.
Walter, who joined Hurtigruten in 2016 as a regional sales manager, was most recently national key account manager.
Walter now has full responsibility for driving and leading the UK sales team.
He will report to Anthony Daniels, Hurtigruten’s UK general manager.
Daniels said: “Mark’s entrepreneurial flare and dedication to the job has played a crucial role in delivering results.
“We are confident that Mark will continue to deliver and drive the sales team to new levels for Hurtigruten, especially in the lead up to the launch of our first hybrid ship, the MS Roald Amundsen in a few months.”
Hurtigruten is currently building a class of hybrid-powered expedition cruise ships at Norway’s Kleven Yard.
MS Roald Amundsen, MS Fridtjof Nansen and the third, unnamed sister, will be delivered in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
