Fred Olsen removes solo supplement on select cruises

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has dropped its solo supplement on a range of cruises departing in 2022 and 2023.

The offer is applicable on new bookings made by 31 August 2022, on selected September 2022 to March 2023 cruises, and based on sole occupancy of specific grades of twin and double cabins.

Durations range from four to 19 nights, with regional departures from Liverpool, Dover, London Tilbury, Portsmouth and Southampton, visiting the Azores, the Canary Islands, and scenic cruising on the Seine, among other destinations.

For example, solo guests will be able to travel from £399 on the France Short Break cruise, departing from Dover on 23 September 2022, and from £1,999 on the Islands of the Canaries and Cape Verde itinerary, departing on 2 December 2022.

Fred Olsen going ‘above and beyond’ for solo guests

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines director of product and customer service Clare Ward said: “We love exploring the world and showcasing the many fantastic destinations it has to offer, and we don’t want travelling alone to be a barrier to that.

“The smaller size of our ships provide a warm, welcoming environment, and our crew will always go above and beyond to make sure our solo guests feel at home from the moment they step on board.

“Our solo offers always prove very popular, and it’s a great way for us to celebrate our first year since we resumed sailing again.”

Fred Olsen also recently revealed that it will welcome war veteran Simon Weston CBE on board Balmoral in 2023, when the ship visits the Falkland Islands as part of its 78-night voyage to South America and the Antarctic.
