Disney Cruise Line has revealed more details about its upcoming Wish class vessel set to launch in 2027 and a new ship class slated to debut in 2029
Disney Believe, set to sail for the first time towards the end of next year, will feature new venue concepts and entertainment experiences inspired by some of the entertainment conglomerate’s most well-know films, including Encanto, Frozen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Moana and The Little Mermaid.
Like its sister ships Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny, Believe’s Grand Hall will serve as a central gathering space for guests, themed around the Moana films. Sculptures of the Woody and Buzz Lightyear characters from the Toy Story franchise will appear on the ship’s exterior stern.
The new updates were announced at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event last weekend, were the company also announced that Believe’s bow will be decorated with a hand-painted filigree of Tinker Bell as she first appeared in the Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 1953 Peter Pan.
The company also offered a sneak peek at its new ship class set to debut in 2029. Announced during D23 2024, the line is expanding its fleet to 13 over the coming years.
With full details yet to be announced, the line confirmed three ships – positioned in size between the company’s classic ships and its newer vessels – will spearhead the new class.
The company said: “These new ships are right in the middle of DCL’s classic ships and the newer ones, so there are amazing opportunities to visit new places and reach brand new audiences than ever before. For those unfamiliar with the size and scale of one our ships, that translates to bigger than Wonder, but smaller than Wish!”
