Disney Believe announced as name of new Disney ship

Disney Believe

Disney Cruise Line has revealed the name of its new ship: Disney Believe

The vessel, which will be the fourth in the lines Wish class, is scheduled to join the fleet in late 2027. It is currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany.

Each Wish class ship has its own theme, and Disney Believe’s theme has been confirmed as ‘promise and possibilities’.

It follows the enchantment-themed Disney Wish, adventure-themed Disney Treasure and heroes and villains-themed Disney Destiny.

The ship’s details were announced on 18 March at the 2026 Walt Disney Company annual shareholders meeting by Josh D’Amaro on his first day as chief executive.

A spokesperson for the line said: “Fittingly revealed during an exciting moment of optimism and transformation for the company, the next ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet will be named the Disney Believe, honouring the dreamers and doers who dare to pursue their own happily ever after.

“Filled with powerful stories of Disney characters who believe in themselves, in their dreams, and in the promise and possibility of a better tomorrow, the Disney Believe will bring to life the magical words of Encanto and Frozen, the wishing wells of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and the depths of the sea with Moana and The Little Mermaid like never before.”

Disney Cruise Line is scheduled to grow its fleet to 13 ships by 2031, including the introduction of a brand-new class of ships in 2029, as well as plans to sail to Japan in 2029.
