To be frank, there’s not a soul on this planet who enjoys moving. Sure, the end result is often great, but really, all those boxes. And always something left behind or misplaced.
On a personal note, I went through this rigmarole last summer; luckily, I only moved five minutes down the road.
I mention this because by the time this magazine hits the doormat, we will have moved to our sleek new office. It’s a big moment for Real Response Media, adding yet another pillar to our growth plan.
Speaking of new things, this month sees the debut of our travel agent advice column. Who better to give advice about selling cruise than those at the coalface, selling cruise? Turn to page 26 for some handy tips. We’ve also updated the news section, now to be known as The Briefing.
Our cover story this month looks at one of Cruise & Maritime Voyages’ new ships – Amy Johnson, which sets sail in 2021 and which clients can now book. See page 6 for the lowdown on itineraries.
Plus, Virgin Voyages hosted media and agents in Dover as the line unveiled its first vessel, Scarlet Lady. From tattoo parlours to champagne on demand, read all about this fantastic event in our ship review section, starting on page 38.

Elsewhere, we exclusively meet presenter Mark Durden-Smith (page 20), who did a top job of hosting Carnival’s UK Cruise Awards. We also have a special insert, showcasing the ultimate in on-board entertainment, Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas.
Of course, the coronavirus has caused much concern throughout the industry, but as CLIA’s Andy Harmer says, a cruise remains an extremely safe way to take a holiday and enjoy new experiences. As Princess Cruises and many other lines have proved, in times of difficulty, the industry pulls together. So, stay positive.
